CHANGE OF FOCUS CHANGE OF PLAN

As most of you will know by now the Witch has changed its focus over the last couple of years,the focus now is food,so having given it lots of thought,i have decided that we should cancel Rocol on Spring Bank Holiday Sunday for two reasons really,one i want to try the food thing on that sunday night and secondly we just dont attraect the sorts of crowds i need to make it pay.In the past i stumped up the money because i really liked the band,it costs me a lot of money when you add up,flights,payment and food,and to be honest people used to take it for granted and,the plain fact of the matter is i need to at least cover my costs even if i dont make much money.In the beginning i made money but as time went by not so,so much as it pains me to say it i will only be having Rocol for very special events.As i said in a previous blog this sunday the piano man is playing.

A FEW TINGS FOR YOUR DIARIES

The piano man IAN SILLETT is back this bank holiday sunday night,and from MAY 10TH til the end of JUNE we are introducing a 2 course lunch for £7.95 and a 3 course dinner for £12.95 it will be advertised on RADIO BRIGHT and the vouchers will be in the Citizen,so gather them up guys and come along,bring your friends,spread the good word and get on down to your local pub for the very best in local food,in a friendly warm atmosphere with lots of beautiful bar staff to ogle at while you wait to order,as a matter of fact the only unfriendly face you will see in the Witch is mine and i cant help that coz i was born with it and it just sits on me,and there is nowt i can do about it.People are always saying to me i should smile more that i scaere off the customers,but i try and melt into the background and let the gorgeous bar staff take centre stage,and i know you will agree with that one.Short one today got someone knocking at the door guy supposed to fix my glass washer,they are a nightmare,they dont clean the glasses well enough for my liking so i have the guy coming out to try to do better,if not his machine will be getting the spanish archer(el bow).

SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

A U2 song as if you didnt know.Not too sure what its about but its a crackeer of a song.Bloody Sunday is quite a popular choice of words for various things that happened,always on a sunday.I guess everyone as off and if you wanted to commit a massacre Sunday would always be favourite coz everyone is off work and you could just ramble down the park and commit your massacre with no great problem.In the pub trade sunday is usually a busy day and fraught with potential problems,though when it all goes well it is great and i love it,but when it doesnt go well it can be a nightmare.Fortunately,most of the time its fine.
Big day in the Premiership yesterday,at half time it looked like Chelseas title again,but by the end Man utd had taken control in a very emphatic way.But be warned Man U fans i have seen this happen before,its not over till the fat lady sings and it could go right down to the wire,even the easiest looking game can turn when you need it.On the cricket front Australia were deservedly crowned world champions and following on from what has been a disastrous competition,it ended farsically,but in saying all that the Aussies were magnificent.
Our own cricket season will be starting soon,and if anyone out there wants a fixture give me a shout.
